He has been used to sort, rope and doctor cattle on. DJ picks up his leads in the arena, has a good handle and a big stop. He is laid back and quiet enough for most anyone to ride.

He has dragged calves at the brandings, been used to catch loose cattle and been break away roped on in the arena. He trail rides great and will go anywhere you point him. He picks up his leads in the arena, open and close gates with ease, has a nice handle and big stop. He has a good flying lead change. He has been trail ridden extensively and also been hauled to playdays and barrel races. He is patterned on the barrels and hauls well. He is gentle to ride and is easy to be around in the barn.
